Evaluate land suitability analysis for rice cultivation using a GIS-based AHP multi-criteria decision-making approach: Majalengka Regency, West Java Province

Abstract This research is motivated by the agricultural sector ranks first and plays a vital role in GRDP income Majalengka Regency. study aims to predict areas suitable for land use sustainable food agriculture (LP2B) evaluate suitability rice. We Analytical Hierarchical Process (AHP), Geography Information System (GIS) approaches give weight of criteria sub-criteria that influence multi-criteria decisions. Including using parameters; Soil morphology, elevation, rainfall, water cover, area, disaster risk, erosion, slope are identified as requirements intended application. The resulting weights build map layer weighted sum overlay tool on GIS platform involving government stakeholders results showed evaluation rice production area with was very suitable, namely 11% (15,038.49 ha) total which production. relationship between maps changes spatial patterns 2022 has also overlapped. plan paddy fields.
